AccountYour fixed rate savings bond provided by The Access Bank UK Limited.
Account Holder The person named in the application.
AERAnnual Equivalent Rate – this illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year. This allows individuals to compare more easily what return they can expect from their savings over time. As every advertisement for a savings product which quotes an interest rate will contain an AER, you will be able to compare more easily what return you can expect from your savings over time.
AgreementThe terms and conditions under which we operate the account for you, which comprise the general Terms and Conditions for Savings Accounts, the Key Features Document, the Tariff Publication and your Application.
ApplicationYour application to open an account, including the application form and any other information you provided to us when you asked us to open the account.
CapitalThe amount of money you originally invest.
Fixed RateA rate of interest that is fixed for a period of time.
Fixed TermA period of time that money is saved for which is agreed on opening the account.
Growth The return over and above your original capital.
Joint AccountYour fixed rate savings bond provided by The Access Bank UK Limited, which you hold jointly with another account holder.
Lump SumAn amount of money an individual wants to deposit into an account.
Maturity DateThe day on which your account ends and on which we will repay your deposit and the interest you have earned.
Maximum Investment The maximum amount of money which can be held in this account.
Minimum InvestmentThe minimum amount of money required to open an account.
Nominated AccountA personal current account held by you, in your name, at another UK bank. You must make your deposit by cheque from this account and we will only process maturities electronically to this account.
P.A.Per annum means every year.
Personal InformationAny information which you provide to us in your application or which we obtain through our dealings with you and through the operation of your account.
Product LiteratureOur Key Features Document, website, promotional leaflets, advertisements, letters, emails or any other medium we may use to provide you with information about our products and services.
Tariff PublicationThe list of charges we make for certain services we may provide in the operation of your account.
